Who we are
This site is operated by SME CFO & Accounting Limited, registered at Flat / RM C, Level 7, World Trust Tower, 50 Stanley Street, Central, Hong Kong, trading as SmeCFO. Our operating office is at Fl 11, Green Tower, 3656/35 Rama IV Road, Khlong Tan, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand. For any question about this policy or your data, write to contact@smecfo.asia.
What we collect, and when
Nothing at all if you simply read the site. We do not require you to identify yourself to browse any page here.
If you contact us, through the enquiry form, the careers form, email, telephone or WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to send. On the enquiry form that is typically your name, email address, company and a description of your situation. On the careers form it is your name, email address, location, availability, LinkedIn profile, a description of your background, and a CV if you attach one.
If you book a call, that booking is handled by Calendly, which collects your name, email address and the time you select.
We currently run no analytics or advertising trackers on this site. No cookies are set for measurement, profiling or advertising. If that changes we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use what you send to answer you, to assess whether we can help, to prepare a proposal, and to deliver an engagement if you become a client. For job applications we use it to assess the application and to contact you about it. The legal basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry addressed to us. Where consent is the correct basis, such as for non-essential cookies, we ask for it separately.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are deleted within twelve months. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for as long as professional, accounting and tax obligations require. Job applications are kept for twelve months so we can come back to you if something suitable appears, and you can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. It is handled by a small number of providers who process it on our behalf:
- Our email provider, for correspondence.
- Calendly, for scheduling calls.
- Cloudflare, which serves this website and processes technical request data such as IP addresses for security and delivery.
Where an engagement involves our sister firms, Plizz for accounting or Narai Partners for legal work, we tell you before anything is shared and only share what is necessary. Client information is otherwise covered by the confidentiality terms of the engagement, which are stricter than this policy.
Where it goes
We are based in Thailand and our providers operate internationally, so your data may be processed outside your own country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA or the UK we rely on the safeguards our providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
This site sets no analytics, advertising or profiling cookies. Cloudflare may set cookies strictly necessary to deliver and secure the site. If we add anything beyond that, this page will be updated and consent requested where required.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Write to contact@smecfo.asia and we will respond within thirty days. If you are in the EEA or the UK and you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes
If we change how we handle data we will update this page and change the date at the top. We will not quietly start doing something with your data that this page says we do not do.
